I Have a New Listing - What Do I Do Now?

If you have a new listing, a member of the team will be in touch with you to onboard you onto our platform.

How Do I Add a New Account to My Existing Listing?

Would you like to give access to your listing dashboard to another member of your team on a separate email address?

We can create a new linked account, just get in touch.

We just need to know:

  • First & last name
  • Business name
  • Job title
  • Email address
  • Contact phone

How Do I Edit My Listing Description?

Writing an impactful description for your business is a great way to draw people to your location and make them want to visit.

Please spend some time making sure this section is filled out in a way that best describes and promotes your business. The better the description, the more traffic you will get to your listing.

 

To update your description:

  • Scroll down to what ever section you wish to update

  • Type in your changes or updates

  • Hit Submit down the bottom right of the page to save.

Our tips on writing an impactful description:

  • Start off your description with a headline, or a claim to fame, eg:

    "Marlborough Motorcamp- home to the best fishing spot in the sounds!"

    "Kiwi Skydive- award-winning skydive, voted #1 on Tripadvisor since 2011"

    "Kevin's Campground- experience peace and serenity in the North Canterbury region, grab an iconic whitebait pattie from our 4 star on-site cafe"

  • Highlight and talk about what makes your campground special. What do your guests love about your place?

    "Relaxing and quiet campground with plenty of space and privacy between sites. Our guests love our pet-friendly policy and onsite swimming pool- awesome fun for the whole family without leaving the campground"

  • Provide useful information or answers to any frequently asked questions

    "Please see our pricing field for updated seasonal prices"

    "Rafting tour not suitable for pregnant or elderly, however, we do have other gentle options to accommodate you so you can enjoy yourself on the day!"

How Do I Add a Booking Button to My Listing?

Having a booking button (Check Availability) on your CamperMate listing enables travellers to check availability and book with your business directly — essentially transforming every one of our 55 million annual sessions into a potential booking.

It will also make your listing searchable under our popular "Instant Availability" search tag that our users have access to.

What it can do for your business: 

  • Enable independent travellers in your area to book with you instantly
  • Enables pre-trip bookings for people planning their holidays
  • Eliminate the delay caused by email and phone communication
  • Provide access to our user-base to increase your revenue

Checking price and ensuring up to date availability of relevant products are the two most important things to a traveller. Once a user checks this they can still call or book direct with you via your app listing info, or can use the booking link.

Bookeasy and Bookit - our booking partners

We have partnered with Bookeasy (Australia)  and Bookit (New Zealand) to provide an easy option for accommodation, activities and attraction operators to enable instant booking on CamperMate and across our partner apps.

This allows the booking process to be seamless via a handy booking button on the app and website.

  • If you have already signed up with Bookit or Bookeasy, your booking link will be attached to your listing.
  • If you have not yet joined Bookit or Bookeasy, and wish to enable instant booking and the benefits to your business this facility brings, you can sign up

How Do I Add and Edit My Photos?

Filling out the gallery for your app listing with high-quality and attractive photos is an easy way to improve traffic to your listing.

How do I add a new photo?

The Photos section allows you to upload new images and rearrange the order of the images in your listing. You can also disable any images you don't want to show by archiving them.

How do I re-order my existing photos?

Above each photograph is a drag and drop option. Simply drag the photo up to more it to the front of the photo display, or move it down to lower its positioning in your gallery.

If you don't want it to display a photo on your listing, simply click the red "Archive photo" button beside the photo you want to hide from your listing. Photo's can not be deleted.

Why are there photos in my gallery that I haven't uploaded?

Back when CamperMate was conceived in 2011, crowd sourced-photos were highly encouraged. You may still have remnants of crowd-sourced photos from our users that have stayed at your place and uploaded a photo. You are welcome to keep or archive if that's your preference.

Why are my photos coming up with a warning?

If you're getting a low resolution warning, your photo is too small to be recognised by our system. The minimum photo size needs to be 2048x1536 pixels and ideally in jpeg. format.

How many photos can I display on my listing?

Your photo limit depends on the current plan you are on.

How Do I View My Reports?

CamperMate tracks user activity patterns and listing interactions, allowing you to compile strategies  better designed to target your CamperMate audience through real-time insights.

o access your reports:

There are 4 Tabs on the report page

  • Daily Profile - Snap shot of your listing's performance in the last 30 days
  • Monthly Profile - Month to Month report of your listings searches and profile views
  • Profile Leads - A break down of the all lead generation your listing has driven (booking links clicks, phone calls, social media interaction, website clicks, emails etc)
  • Glossary (explanation of reporting terminology)

Overtime you will see peak periods so you can make business decisions to suit the busy and quiet times. 

You will know how our users are finding you to book via your booking button (if you have this option enabled) and contact links.

How Do I Reply to a Guest Review?

CamperMate users have the option to leave a review on your listing if they have stayed or visited your attraction.

To access your comments:

  • Login to CamperMate for Business 
  • From the Home Screen. go to the 'Comments' page from the top menu  on your home page in the Business Intelligence section
  • Type your response under the review in the box marked 'Reply to comment' and click the "submit" button once you are ready to post your reply.

What do the different faces mean?

Users have the option to add a face emoji to their review to reflect their experience

😀 = Positive 

😐 = Neutral

🙁 = Negative

Our data shows the majority of our users favour the 😀 face for their reviews!

 

How do you know it's a genuine review?

All comments submitted to the CamperMate database are manually reviewed by our admin team. To keep our platforms integrity, all comments are uploaded unless they contain rude language or abuse.Our admin team can check user history to confirm if the guest visited your location, a tool we use often to make sure it's a genuine traveller review.

Replying to these reviews is a great way to show your potential customers how engaged and dedicated you are. In fact, a study of travel sites showed a 12% increase in travel reviews when comments were replied to and the overall quality of reviews increased.

 

How Do Renewals Work and How Can I Cancel?

Your listing subscription renews every 12 months. 

If you have paid your subscription via credit card, great news - you don't need to do anything! It will automatically renew, charging your card on your agreed renewal date.

You will receive an email notification prior to your renewal/card charge date, giving you a reminder for the option to opt out, prior to your renewal.

If you have paid your subscription via invoice, you will receive an automated reminder prior to your renewal and a new invoice will be created and sent to your billing address.

We operate a standard 30 days’ written notice policy to cancel the renewal of your subscription, and you will be sent reminders about this closer to your renewal date.
